News Release: Recently Published Paper on Controlling Salmonella and Pathogenic E. coli in Animal Feed

Raw ingredients for livestock feed production come from a variety of locations and, especially if there has been any exposure to livestock or wildlife feces, ingredients can act as a source for Salmonella serovars and other enteric bacteria including E. coli. Salmonella is able to persist for many years in dry environments such as those found in feed mills, grain stores and feed bins, and once it becomes resident it can be difficult to eradicate.

This study compares a non-formaldehyde combination product developed for pathogen control in animal feed Finio, with a panel of three commonly used organic acid feed additive products: Fysal, SalCURB K2 and Salgard. Learn more about the results below.
