Maxi-Mil treatment reduced the percent of fines found in feed by 4.90% in addition to improving moisture retention and reducing total energy consumption. When compared to untreated feed, aquafeed treatment with Maxi-Mil improved the mill's use of resources by operating more efficiently and producing less waste.

A series of commercial trials with aquafeed producers making diets for Tilapia, Shrimp and Catfish were performed to determine what effect Maxi-Mil has on throughput, process loss and efficiency. Throughout these trials Maxi-Mil treated feed saw repeated increases in moisture retention, hourly tonnage produced and fewer kilowatt-hours used.
