Building on decades of expertise in clean feed and feed biosecurity, Anitox is expanding its poultry portfolio with the launch of AvrX™Prime™, a new monoglyceride technology developed to support early-stage nutrition strategies and performance consistency in broiler production.
Unveiling at World’s Poultry Congress and Poultry Science Association Annual Meeting in Toronto, AvrX™Prime™ expands the Anitox poultry portfolio beyond feed quality and microbial control, adding a nutritional approach formulated to work in the gastrointestinal environment from the earliest stages of life.
Maintaining feed conversion, flock uniformity and growth performance remains a priority for broiler producers operating in increasingly complex production environments. Continued movement toward antibiotic-free production, enteric disease pressure and feed-cost volatility have increased the importance of maintaining performance under commercial conditions.
According to Dr. Alastair Thomas, Global Head of Poultry Nutrition & Health at Anitox, growing industry interest in intestinal development reflects a broader shift in how producers think about performance.
“Producers are increasingly focused on maintaining performance consistency across a wide range of commercial conditions,” explains Thomas. “Early intestinal development plays a critical role in determining how effectively birds utilize nutrients throughout the production cycle. AvrX™Prime™ was developed to support early life nutritional strategies and help producers establish a strong foundation for production consistency from the start.”
Recent transcriptomic research conducted during the development of AvrX™Prime™ provided new insight into how intestinal function evolves over time. The research identified age-dependent responses associated with intestinal development, host-microbiome signaling, nutrient transport and metabolic activity, helping explain how early intestinal function may influence later production outcomes.
Anitox partners with the world’s feed and food producers to help produce safer food more efficiently. For more than 40 years, the company has focused on solutions that support feed form, feed hygiene and microbial quality goals. The addition of AvrX™Prime™ reflects Anitox’s continued investment in helping producers protect feed value while supporting animal performance.
“Feed hygiene remains fundamental to efficient production,” Thomas adds. “AvrX™Prime™ expands our ability to support customers by connecting feed quality, intestinal function and performance consistency within a broader production strategy.”
